Abstract

A short history of the insertion of women in argentine paleontology, mainly based on papers published in Revista de la Asociación Geológica Argentina and Ameghiniana (Asociación Paleontológica Argentina) from 1947 to 1971, is presented, with some statistical data. A few previous papers to these two Journals are also mentioned. Finally, a few comments are made about the possible causes of this relatively scarce female participation.
