Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present some reIationships between some aspects of the Wittgensteinian Language-Game theory and certain assumptions operating on the base of ethnographicmethodology. These assum ptionsaim to a demarcation of meaningful units to be considered in the ethnographic record and to a typification ofthe activity, or activities, conduncing to such demarcation. Within the frame of that philosophical conception which goes beyond a mere investigation oflanguage, deIving into its foundations towards a form of life- we believe we find unifying principIes which make possible to articuIate these assumptions and to reach a more comprehensive standpoint from where to do research into the ethnographic production's objet and contexto.
