Abstract

The conception of the body registered in the discourse of HIV-AIDS patients is different from the dominant representation (Mind/Body dualism) in Western Society and Biomedical knowledge. Such construction of the body from H IV-AIOS integrate biological, psychological and social aspects. and all of them are subjected to the same logic. This elaboration has a sllrvival vallle for the patients because it is made under the same scale of illness experience.
